Nigel Wakefield (or was it Mark Tait?) and Emily Saunderson continued their winning streak from last season by completing the 6 race sea sailing series with 2 wins, a second, third and a fourth place.

On equal points, Lymington specialists Stuart and Jane Hudson came second by countback, and were too polite to point out to the race committee that the Wakefield entry actually comprised of two helms and two crews!

The Lymington Times, the best broadsheet for sailing reports in the country, wrote a first hand account of the racing and comprimised on the contraversial result by crediting Nigel Taitfield and Sally Saunderson with the win. They and the Firefly fleet will be back in June for the Open meeting. For Lymington’s famous hospitality and racing with much less tide than the Easter weekend, it should be well worth a visit
