Don’t miss the season finale – the Inland National Championships hosted by Chipstead sailing club

Notice of Race

Draft Sailing Instructions (SI’s provided at the event take precedence)

Chipstead is a fantastic venue for Firefly sailing, with a strong home fleet and a lake shaped especially for short tacking matches! A bumper turnout is likely, so close racing is assured whatever your position in the fleet.

Get a great start on port tack and cross several national champions in one move…sniggle up the shore with everything to gain and everything to lose…luff an ex-chairman into the doldrums…show off your jibstick skills

All this and more can be attained simply by dusting off the Firefly and turning up to Chipstead on the 5-6th November. The clubhouse also makes an excellent vantage point for spectators and the post-racing cakes are legendary

Defending Inland Champions Roger Morris and Jo Findlay will be hot favourites for the event – but they will have to fight off serial Chipstead Open winner Nigel Wakefield and Sophia Hulbert. Also present will be many champions past and present as well as a big group of club and open circuit racers.

Put this event in your diary – use the forums to smooth your domestic arrangements and stay tuned for a NOR and entry form (you can enter on the day)
