1st owner – Mr Fisher, London.
Fairey Marine sales ledger notes hull painted polyester blue rather than the standard varnish finish, and despatched by train from Hamble railway station. Sadly, no details of destination recorded.
Hull constructed on Mould 4, weight, on first RYA measurement noted at 162lb, class minimum at time, 160lb.
c early 1960’s – I W Rees, London SW10, perhaps Tamesis club (Ownership confirmed RYA files dated April 1969)
Undated report – Stephen Gillam-Smith who notes “Owned since late 60s, raced late 1960’s/early 1970s at London Corinthian SC, later Banbury SC as a novice. Laid up in a garage since 1994”
March 2018 – Tim Medcalf, Tamesis Club, who reports “Firefly in good shape after twenty years stored in a garage complete with original Reynolds spars, and Ratsey & Lapthorn sails.”
November 2019 – Mark Moranne, Dell Quay SC
