Spring 1974 – Martin Royle

July 2024 Martin reports: “My father bought F2570 from a chap near Carr Mill Dam, North St Helens, Lancashire in the spring of 1974, paid £165, boat complete with trailer and trolley. Painted Wedgewood blue with white Mark I decks; an instant hit, sailing her with school friends at Lymm Secondary Modern School within Cheshire Schools Sailing Association.  I re – decked her, retaining the Mark I layout and sailed for a year at Budworth SC until 1980. Now sailing an International 12 and Uffa King design National 12 dinghies. Firefly named “Splashed Out”

1980 – DR White, West Kirby SC

1984 – MS Critchley, Upper Thames SC

October 2005 – Sarah Fielding, Upper Thames SC, named “Pygmalion”

(May 2023 – boat laid up in Winchester and advertised as a renovation project, NFA Bulletin, Spring 2023 edition)
