Information from NFA Boat Register: (Chris Bracey) “Built in July 1960 and sold to her first owner, a Mr Barker, 13 July. Built to the Mark l layout with terylene sails, only just introduced to replace cotton sails, made by Ratsey and Lapthorn of Cowes. The hull weighed 160lb, the class minimum at the time. Sadly, no address for the first owner.

Other recorded owners/members of the NFA lived in Stoke on Trent and Colchester. Sevenoaks School, a hot bed of Firefly racing at Chipstead SC seem to have owned her in the early ’80’s.

Her name then seems to have been ‘Cross Product'”

June 2012 – reported for sale NFA website

January 2018 – reported for sale, EBay, Cornwall, hull only as a restoration project
