The brass Fairey Marine builder's plate notes the names of the helm and crew of the Gresham's entry to win this Firefly

c2001 - Tim Thornton - Hamble River SC writes: "Sadly, no record of ownership between disposal by Greshams School, c1980 and acquisition by present owner.
I bought the boat off someone else about 10 or 12 years ago - I think they sailed from Spinnaker.
It is said that Gresham's named the Firefly after the nickname of the winning crew . . . ."
