January 2013 – George Rogers, Tollesbury SC.
George Rogers reports “Hull moulded 1980, decks probably completed by original owner W.H.Walsh (Chase SC and Midland SC). Name ‘Pollyanne’. Purchased by Mr Mike and Mrs Penny Collyer of Bourne End in 1982 and sailed at Upper Thames SC. Renamed ‘Phoebe’ she was sailed and raced successfully by their son Jeremy Collyer who sold me the boat in January 2013. ‘Phoebe’ had been dry stored for 20 years but is now regularly sailing again in the Blackwater estuary, Essex. (See F2302 and F1809) As an experiment, I installed built in plywood side tanks in the style of a Mark I wooden hull, grp tank moulded in hull under foredeck, conventional buoyancy bags either side at stern ”
c2014 – subsequently sold to Cheshire, River Dee owner.
